Ms. Ellerton

Associate Director of Admissions

Ms. Ellerton is the Associate Director of Admissions at BASIS Independent Brooklyn. What Ms. Ellerton loves most about her role is the opportunity to introduce new families to our amazing curriculum, faculty, and facilities. She enjoys getting families as excited about BASIS Independent Brooklyn as she is!

Ms. Ellerton graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN in 2010, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Chemistry. She spent much of her time at Macalester in the pool, where she was a captain of the water polo and swim teams. She proudly holds school records in both sports, and was nationally ranked twice (in 2007 and 2010) for goals scored in a season.

Ms. Ellerton missed the community that came with a whole school working towards a common goal. When she visited BASIS Independent Brooklyn and met the faculty and staff working here, she knew that she had found a community with a mission and team that she would love to support.

Ms. Ellerton spends her time baking, knitting and reading. She loves Harry Potter in all its iterations, and always has her “Expecto Patronum” mug in hand. She can often be found playing trivia around New York City (even though she rarely wins) or swimming in Astoria Park!
