Mr. Vidano joins BASIS Independent Brooklyn’s Math faculty as a Subject Expert Teacher currently teaching both Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. His goal is to prepare students to be lifelong learners in mathematics. He aims to teach his students that learning is not only fun, but also critical for making the most of one’s life.
After graduating from Pacific Lutheran University, Mr. Vidano went on to receive his master’s degree from the University of Virginia. Subsequently, he received his secondary mathematics endorsement from Central Washington University and his master’s degree in education policy from Teachers College at Columbia University.
Mr. Vidano chose BASIS Independent Brooklyn for its commitment to rigorous learning: “I enjoy working hard and that is what is required for the students here since they are so hungry for knowledge and information. I am excited to grow and develop as a teacher here at BASIS Independent.”
Outside the classroom, Mr. Vidano enjoys catching up on current affairs, taking hikes, and playing tennis. He is also intrigued by world of education policy, and he makes sure to stay current on developments in that arena.
