Ms. Saad graduated as a University Honors Scholar from NYU with a Bachelor of Arts. She majored in biology and minored in chemistry and genetics while on a pre-medicine track. Upon graduation, she matriculated in medical school and completed a year of medical training before deciding to change her career path. She realized that her lifelong dream of becoming a physician wasn’t so much rooted in patient interaction as much as it was rooted in her passion for scientific research and inquiry. Most recently, Ms. Saad taught advanced science classes at a New York City high school, where she distinguished herself by the exceptional scores her students earned on their AP Biology exams.
Ms. Saad joins BASIS Independent Brooklyn as a Subject Expert Teacher for Biology. What attracted Ms. Saad to BASIS Independent most was its exceptional learning culture, where every student is encouraged to reach his or her full potential. She looks forward to working alongside a talented group of faculty to motivate students, boost their confidence, and share positive energy.
On weekends, you’ll find Ms. Saad reading or playing sudoku. She also loves to take road trips with family and friends. Ms. Saad enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures and their cuisines.
