Ms. Pozzi earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration from University of Pittsburgh and her Masters of Science in public policy and management at Carnegie Mellon University. She started her career in the classroom as a math teacher in St. Paul, Minnesota for several years. Although she loved her time in her classroom with her students, she realized her true calling was to work in administration and harness the power of data analysis to improve student outcomes.
While attending Carnegie Mellon University’s Public Policy and Management School, Ms. Pozzi focused on developing data analysis and project planning skills. After obtaining her graduate degree, Ms. Pozzi was named Director of Operations at a leading charter school in New York City. There she planned and coordinated large-scale events and worked to analyze student and staff data to help ensure the school was running smoothly. She joined the BASIS Independent Brooklyn team as Curriculum Coordinator in fall of 2016.
Ms. Pozzi loves BASIS Independent Brooklyn’s commitment to ensuring students are working to fulfill their true potential and pushing themselves to the highest academic standards. She is also excited to work alongside so many hard-working, intelligent and passionate people in our BASIS Independent community.
In her free time, Ms. Pozzi enjoys reading, walking around the parks in her neighborhood, taking the NYC Ferry, and cross stitching.
